This Saturday, July 11, a charity livestream festival in support of the Black Lives Matter movement will showcase the talents of Black, Indigenous and other people of color.”Sounds of the Revolution” features a lineup of DJs and VJs from various cities, including New Orleans. Khris Royal, Nekostrodamus and More Love will represent the city during the event, which is held on Twitch and raises money for the NAACP.
“Our main goal is to amplify the unique & remarkable contributions of Black and brown artists to the music community,” says co-founder Nina Ziomek. “By coming together, we hope to help foster love within our community by honoring our scene’s roots and to foster learning and understanding of ways to battle racial injustices.”
Airing from 5 p.m. Central on July 11 to 5 a.m Central on July 12, Sounds of the Revolution lineup is as follows:
