The Soul Rebels will head to New York City for a three-night run of hip-hop infused shows when they team up with Talib Kweli, Big Freedia, Nigel Hall and more.
The New Orleans brass mainstays will return to the Brooklyn Bowl–a venue that is no stranger to New Orleans acts–on February 25-27. They will be joined by bounce superstar Big Freedia on the 25th, with rappers Talib Kweli and Kirk Knight sitting in on the 26th. They will then be joined by Talib Kweli and Nigel Hall for their final performance at the 27th. More guests will be added to the 26th and 27th gigs in the coming weeks.
The upcoming Brooklyn shows will follow a run of dates that will also find the Soul Rebels collaborating with Talib Kweli. The outing will mark the latest hip-cop collaboration from the group, who have performed with Rakim, Black Thought, Mobb Deep, Pharoahe Monch, Styles P and Joey Bada$$ over the past few years.
Tickets for the shows are on sale via the Brooklyn Bowl’s website.
