On Friday, June 26, the Soul Rebels are set to close out the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City for a special late night #REBELJAM show.
Starting at 12:30 a.m., following a performance by the Robert Glasper Trio, the program will feature a wide range of special guests, including Hip-Hop legends Rakim, Slick Rick, Prodigy, Styles P, and Sheek Louch, as well as guitar player Eric Krasno.
“Our upcoming show at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City will feature some of our favorite artists special guesting,” Soul Rebels drummer and co-founder Lumar LeBlanc said. “The idea of presenting an intimate late night jam comes from the legacy we’ve built over the years of collaborating with mc’s and instrumentalists. Collaboration has become the essence of The Soul Rebels, and to have our brother Eric Krasno with us is a blessing and honor. Rakim and Slick Rick are two of my heroes, and to work with them as we’ve been doing a dream come true. Prodigy and Styles P are monster mc’s, and we’re thrilled to have them rock with us. Our surprise guests are going to be incredible as well. Very exciting. NYC is in for a treat!”
The Soul Rebels are coming off a landmark year in 2014, during which they toured four continents, collaborated with artists spanning from Joey Bada$$, Big Freedia, Lotus, and The String Cheese Incident, and shared the stage with the likes of Kanye West, The Allman Brothers Band, Gary Clark, Jr., John Mayer, Jack White, Dave Matthews and Disclosure.
The band already has big plans for 2015, and there has never been a better time to catch them in person.
Tickets to the Blue Note show are $30 in advance and doors open at 12 a.m.
