West Coast punk rock icons Social Distortion will swing through New Orleans when their summer tour comes to the House of Blues on Wednesday, August 30. Founded in 1978, the group has been led by frontman Mike Ness since its inception, though the rest of the lineup has changed frequently over the years.
Social Distortion’s upcoming tour won’t be in support of any particular album, as their last full-length, Hard Time and Nursery Rhymes, was put out in 2011 (the group is reportedly working on another record). The outing will find the band joined by special guest Jade Jackson, who is slated to open the shows.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale this Friday, May 12 at 9am.
