Happy weekend! To get you going, here’s a preview of a show that we highly recommend you NOT overlook. Tonight, at the Hi-ho Lounge, psycho-ramblers Slim Cessna’s Auto Club will headline a bill that also includes a set from local folk outlaws My Graveyard Jaw as well as a solo performance from the By and By Stringband’s Kiyoko McCrae.
Before the videos, a high five is in order for My Graveyard Jaw, who, fresh off a long West Coast swing, scored a record deal with Farmageddon Records. MGJ recently released an EP that’s currently only available at their shows. Their previous album Coming Winds was one of the best local outings of recent years.
Now for the videos… First you’ll see “Americado” by Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, then “I Don’t Know” by My Graveyard Jaw featuring Hurray for the Riff Raff’s Alynda Lee Segarra, and lastly, “Are You Lonesome Tonight” by the By and By String Band.
