Last Friday night we hosted our annual Best of the Beat Awards party at House of Blues. The night started with a feast provided by some of New Orleans’ best restaurants (if you ever wanted to prove to someone that New Orleans food is tops, the first hour of Best of the Beat would be an easy place to do it), complimentary drinks provided by Glazer’s of Louisiana, and music from Panorama Jazz Band. The party moved inside for a varied lineup of artists in both the main room and The Parish, with a brief interlude to announce the 2009 Best of the Beat Award winners.
