On Friday, April 20, Tipitina’s hosted a concert of shuffled genres, with indie dance rockers !!! and avant hip-hop duo Shabazz Palaces—rapper Ishmael Butler, formerly of Digable Planets, and percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Tendai “Baba” Maraire—headlining, plus bounce rapper Vockah Redu opening the show.
