Zydeco and soul musician Sean Ardoin has released a new video for his song “For You!” which he describes as “beautiful, sexy, and cinematic,” featuring model/actress Nie Tha Truth as the “seductive leading lady.”
“This song is sure to please music lovers and dancers alike,” says Ardoin. “For You” is a reimagining of a Louisiana soul classic from the Sean Ardoin “Home Brew” project that dates back to 2003. Eighteen years ago that song became a hit in barrooms, dance halls, juke joints, family reunions, cookouts, and all the places where soul, blues, and R&B are commonly played. Ardoin says he “knew the first single on my upcoming project ‘Lover Man’ had to be ‘For You!'”
Like many Louisiana musicians, two-time Grammy-nominated Ardoin comes from a musical dynasty. Among his ancestors are two of the greatest names in the Creole and zydeco world. He is a descendant of Amédé Ardoin, referred to as the Father of Zydeco by music scholars for laying the groundwork for Creole music in the early 20th century. Ardoin is also the descendant of noted creole musician Alphonse “Bois Sec” Ardoin and creole musician, Lawrence “Black” Ardoin (father). He is the older brother of hip-hop zydeco accordionist Chris Ardoin.
