Movies have been our best friends in the absence of other social activities, but the movie-watching experience at home is nothing compared to watching a film at a movie theater with our community. New Orleans Film Society organizers state: “This year, in order to comply with health and safety guidelines, and give us all a chance to reconnect, the French Film Festival will take place outdoors at The Broadside theater –– and most films will also be available to stream from home on our virtual platform. We hope to return to the Prytania Theater as soon as we are able to gather indoors again.”
Festival Passes are available for purchase now. The festival program and schedule will be announced on March 1st. Tickets will be available to book for our members and festival passholders on March 5 and the general public on March 12. The festival will take place March 23-31. It is one of the oldest running foreign language festivals in the United States.
Organizers add: “We are looking forward to sharing a diverse slate of French-language films from different countries including not only France, but Belgium, Canada, Cameroon, Luxembourg, Senegal, Switzerland, and as we say… #vivelecinema!”
