Over the course of his career, bass player Sam Price has played with a litany of local bands. From his longtime work as a member of the Honey Island Swamp Band, to the Afro-Cuban stylings of OTRA, to his more recent endeavors with his very own True Believers, he’s been rocking around the block for decades.

On Saturday, March 9, Sam Price and a few of his friends will celebrate not only his music career, but more importantly his 50th birthday and the release of a new record from the True Believers. At the Maple Leaf, he’ll be joined by Papa Mali, Mikayla Braun, Dale Spalding and more TBA.
