Hosting an NFL Wild Card Weekend football game and the BCS Championship Game in the same weekend has many advantages, one of which is the quality of music around town. Saturday afternoon, Cowboy Mouth will perform at Champions Square starting at 3 p.m. before the Saints-Lions game. They’ll be followed at 4:45 by Karma, and the LSU Tiger Marching Band will perform at halftime in the Superdome.

The Allstate Fan Fest is set up in the Jax Brewery parking lot, and on Saturday at 6:15 p.m., it will present a free concert with the Neville Brothers. On Sunday, there will be an LSU pep rally at 2 p.m., an Alabama pep rally at 4, and a free concert with Cee Lo Green, Eric Benet and Ahsan at 6:15. Will Cee Lo sing “Forget You” or “Fuck You“?
