On Saturday, May 5, right in the thick of Jazz Fest’s second weekend, Ryan Adams will perform a 9 p.m. show at the Saenger Theatre with an all-star lineup of New Orleans musicians. The alt-country rocker is partnering with Live Nation and Blackbird Presents on the Rolling Stones-inspired concert extravaganza, which borrows its name from the Stones’ 1972 double-album Exile on Main Street.
“Exile on Bourbon Street” will feature singer-songwriter Adams alongside Grammy-winning producer and musical director Don Was, who worked on the 2010 re-issue of Exile on Main Street. According to Rolling Stone, the concert will “boast an array of all-star New Orleans musicians,” though a complete lineup has yet to be announced. In a press statement, Was said “I’ve listened to all the multi-track tapes from the Exile period and it’s not hyperbolic to say that this is probably the greatest rock ‘n roll ever recorded. I can’t wait to dig deep into these songs with The Mighty Ryan Adams and this incredible group of musicians.”
The event even has its own website, where diehard fans can sign up to get pre-sale codes.
Pre-sale tickets are available here and the general public tickets go on sale on April 2 at 10 a.m. local time
