Sunday, CMT will broadcast “Jimmy Buffett and Friends” live from the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The lineup was originally scheduled for a week earlier, but concerns about the impact of Hurricane Alex caused the show to be postponed. The date change forced the talent lineup to be rearranged. Allen Toussaint will perform with Buffett, but the only opening act is now Lafayette’s Roddie Romero and the Hub City All-Stars, who’ll start at 5 p.m. According to Romero, “We couldn’t be more proud to be part of this concert especially given its purpose of providing relief to the folks along the Gulf Coast, which is a concern close to all of our hearts.”
