The Revivalists and Lake Street Dive will both perform during Jazz Fest’s main event at the Fair Grounds Race Course on Friday, May 5, but these two acts will also play after shows at other venues that weekend.
The Revivalists will return to the Orpheum Theater—the site of their packed New Year’s Eve performance—for a show on Thursday, May 4. The popular rock outfit, who took home five honors at the 2016 Best of the Beat Awards, will take the stage just a few hours after Widespread Panic, Darius Rucker and Corinne Bailey Rae perform at the Fair Grounds. Tickets for the show are now on sale.
On Saturday, May 6, Lake Street Dive will bring their brand of old school rock, soul and R&B to Civic Theatre (we spoke with lead singer Rachel Price back in 2015). The group will be supported by Louisiana’s own Sweet Crude, who are slated to open the night. Their show will take place a few hours after Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg and Meghan Trainor headline the main event at the Fair Grounds. Tickets for that concert will go on sale at noon on Friday, February 3.
The Revivalists and Lake Street Dive are both part of a Jazz Fest lineup that features Wonder, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Maroon 5, Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds and many more. The festival will take over the Fair Grounds on April 28-30 and May 4-7.
