Ray LaMontagne’s July 31 show in New Orleans has been moved to the Saenger Theatre. Tickets for the originally scheduled gig at Champions Square will be automatically refunded, but purchasers will be given an early opportunity to buy seats for the Saenger.
The singer-songwriter will roll through New Orleans as he tours in support of his new album Ouroboros, which was produced by My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James. Interestingly, most of the members of that band–Tommy Blankenship, Carl Broemel, Bo Koster and Patrick Hallahan–will back LaMontagne during his shows.
Original purchasers will able to buy tickets on Wednesday, May 11 at 10am via Ticketmaster, while general public on-sale is set to begin on Friday, May 13 at noon CT.
In related news, singer-songwriter Josh Ritter’s upcoming show at the Civic Theatre has been relocated to One Eyed Jacks. The show will still take place on Monday, May 16, and all tickets for the Civic will be honored at the new venue. Ritter will perform with his Royal City Band, and Steel Wheels are set to open the show.
Tickets for Ritter’s gig at One Eyed Jacks are available here.
