In the words of bassist Reggie Scanlan, “it’s o-Fish-al!!”: The Radiators will return to Tipitina’s for their annual run of reunion show on January, 12, 13 and 14, 2017.
The legendary New Orleans rock outfit called it quits in 2011, in part because of keyboardist and vocalist Ed Voelker’s desire to retire from touring. Since then, the group has reunited for a January run at Tipitina’s on four separate occasions, in addition to a few one-off gigs at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The upcoming Tipitina’s reunion will take place Thursday through Saturday. Tickets for the Thursday show will go for $61, with tickets for Friday and Saturday going for $71. A three day pass will also be available for $186. All tickets will go on sale Wednesday, September 21 at 11am.
In related news, Scanlan was profiled by John Wirt for the latest issue of OffBeat magazine. The Radiators were also honored with a Lifetime Achievement award at the 2015 Best of the Beat Awards.
