Prospect 1.5, New Orleans’ second biennial showcase of international art, will close Saturday with Throwdown 1.5.  Prospect 1.5 didn’t attract the same attention as Prospect 1, but it did involve a series of cutting edge exhibitions, public programs, and artist residencies that began in late 2010 and finish on February 19.

In addition to serving providing an afterparty for the Julia Street and St. Claude Arts District openings, Throwdown 1.5 will donate all proceeds to help realize the Prospect. 2 New Orleans biennial in October 2011. Throwdown 1.5 includes music, food, drinks, VIP reception, and a silent art silent auction. The event will be held at Second Line Stages and run from 8:00-11:00 p.m.
