Experimental world music outfit Beats Antique will be joined by the Preservation Hall Horns when they headline the Joy Theater in New Orleans on Friday, May 12.
The show will mark the latest collaboration between the Preservation Hall Band and the eclectic three-piece group, who hail from the San Francisco Bay Area. The two bands teamed up at last year’s Preservation Hall Ball in San Francisco, as well as during a 2013 Voodoo Fest after show and a show that followed the Grateful Dead’s July 2015 “Fare The Well” reunion in Chicago. Preservation Hall’s Ben Jaffe spoke with us about his band’s reasons for collaborating with artists across the musical spectrum in a recent interview.
Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, February 12 at 11am.
