This week, the Positive Vibrations Foundation will offer a free music workshop for kids, ages 10-16. The Congo Kids Rythms and Heritage Workshop will be held at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center on Monday, March 14- Friday, March 18 from 4:30- 6:30 PM. Luke Quaranta of the instrumental band Toubab Krewe will lead the workshop, along with several other talented musicians.

The workshop will focus on the music and culture of the Mandé people of West Africa, and concentrates on traditional percussion but is inclusive towards other instruments as well. Those who participate in all workshops will receive an instrument or voucher. Parking is available on site. To register, go to congokids.net.
