There are few things we love more than a po-boy in New Orleans. Well, maybe the Saints. And Mardi Gras, or our favorite sno-ball. Ok, the po-boy is definitely in the top five things we love.
If you’re a greedy sandwich loving machine like myself and are always in the mood for a deliciously messy po-boy, your favorite day is just around the corner. The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival returns November 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (November 3 also just so happens to be National Sandwich Day!) Free and open to the public, this year’s fest features over 30 vendors with 60 variations of the iconic sandwich, and live local music from gates ’til close. You will have to pay five bucks for a wristband to purchase po-boys; however, your soul will feel good about it as the proceeds benefit the Son of a Saint organization.
Feeling overwhelmed with po-boy options? That’s a good problem to have. I’ve narrowed it down to ten for you, regardless of what type of po-boy eater you are.
