On Saturday, June 30, 2018, the Friends of Bayou St. John and Positive Vibration foundations put together a benefit show at Tipitina’s, aimed at helping out Bayou Boogaloo vendors who were affected by the festival’s first day, cancelled due to weather.
Another storm loomed over Tipitina’s as music unraveled, with an opening set from the A Tribe Called Quest tribute band, Low End Theory Players, followed by the wild “Russian mafia band” Debauche, and wrapped up by a healthy dose of funk from Tony Hall’s All-Stars.
