The Nth Power kicked off their latest tour at Jammin’ Java in Vienna VA on Wednesday, September 3, to a small crowd of in-the-know fans.
The powerhouse band is supremely confident, knowing what they have to offer is an astounding mash-up of jazz fusion, funk, R&B, and high powered pop vocals.
Lead by NOLA music scene veterans Nigel Hall and Nikki Glaspie, the band’s remarkable musicianship is constantly on display through melodically and rhythmically rich instrumentals punctuated by diverse vocal driven originals.
After playing the Marvin Gaye song “I Want You” followed by their own “Thank You,” the band told the crowd they would see them next at the Verizon Center, the Washington DC area’s biggest sports arena.
Supremely confident, and for good reason.
