On New Year’s Eve British funk crusaders the New Mastersounds took the stage at the Joy Theater and took in 2014 New Orleans style with show that showcased the Nigel Hall’s smoking keys and soulful vocals. OffBeat co-hosted the revéillon soireé at the freshly renovated Joy Theater, which also featured New Mastersounds front man Eddie Roberts’ West Coast Sounds and New Orleans’s own electro-funk outfit, Gravity A.
