Last Saturday night (October 19), the husband and wife team of Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi led the Grammy-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Joy Theater. Local funky man, Big Sam Williams joined the sold-out party, adding his trombone to all-star ensemble which also features Saunders Sermons on Trombone, Maurice Brown on trumpet, Kebbi Williams on saxophone, Kofi Burbridge on keyboards and flute, Tyler Greenwell and J.J. Johnson on drums and percussion, and Mike Mattison and Mark Rivers on harmony vocals. OffBeat photographer Kim Welsh caught the roots rock jam sesh and snapped these awesome shots… Enjoy!
