Last weekend (August 2-4) on the grounds of the old U.S. Mint, hot jazz stymied sweltering temperatures as local favorites Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, Allen Toussaint, Kermit Ruffins, the Treme Brass Band, John Boutte, OffBeat August issue featured artist Robin Barnes, and more stirred the crowd at Satchmo Summerfest.
