Although marred by a powerful afternoon rainstorm, the second day of French Quarter Fest 2015 still offered a ton of great live local music.
The Write Brothers came together on the Tropical Isle Hand Grenade Shade for a great set that started with a “Cup Full of Soul” and transitioned into hits by each of the four master songwriters on the stage.
Leroy Jones’ Original Hurricane Brass Band had everyone moving at the Old US Mint, including Dancing Man 504, and John Mooney & Bluesiana brought some Louisiana blues to the proceedings just before the rain moved in.
