Ryan Shapiro and Chris Rogers once again put on an amazing event, this time pairing many of funk’s biggest legends from around the country on stage with New Orleans’ best for Fiya Fest 2014.
Musicians from Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters band, Parliament Funkadelic, James Brown’s band, Living Colour, Fishbone and Lettuce were paired with George Porter Jr., Big Sam Williams, Stanton Moore, Ivan Neville and many more for an afternoon of funk seared into the memories of anyone that was there.
The guest list was long, the crawfish was included and Derrek Tabb’s Roots of Music received the benefit of a substantial donation from the days event. For the third year in a row, Fiyawerx Production knocked it out of the park!
