The 25th annual Bayou Boogaloo & Cajun Food Festival in Norfolk, Virginia took place from June 20-22, 2014, with four Louisiana bands taking the stage on Friday.
A very strong lineup was lead by Rosie Ledet, who rocked the Missing Kidney Stage followed by Honey Island Swamp Band on the Main Stage.
HISB ran through an hour of their swampy rock-n-roll, getting people out of their chairs to dance and enjoy the unusually cool weather for Norfolk, hanging comfortably around the low 70’s.
Up next was a trio form of Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen. Despite missing Big D Perkins on guitar because of another commitment, the Monster Gents still tore up the Missing Kidney Stage, getting the dance floor up front packed.
The headliner was Anders Osborne with special guest guitarist Scott Metzger from New York City.
The day’s highlight came when Anders and company took on the Bob Dylan classic “All Along The Watchtower.”
