On Saturday, August 29th, Anders Osborne and his long time bassist, Carl Dufrene Jr., called upon a couple of heavy hitters to join them for a charity show for the Johnstown Free Medical Clinic in Johnstown PA.
Photographer Bob Adamek was there to immortalize the performance.
Joining the band on guitar was Eric McFadden (George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars) and Chad Cromwell (Neil Young, Joe Walsh, Mark Knopfler) on drums . This was the second show for this quartet, which had the band listening intently to each other. That yielded moments in many of the songs solos that energized the music and really launched the show off the ground.
There was an immediate and fabulous rapport between Osborne and McFadden as they traded solos, weaving in and out of each others ideas. The same grew between Dufrene and Cromwell, who adeptly raised and lowered the dynamics to match the guitarists.
The crowd was solid all night with many fans of Anders traveling from as far as Baltimore, Washington DC, Pittsburgh and even Cleveland.
