The 2016 Pride Parade rolled through the streets of New Orleans on Saturday, June 18. While the festivities were a blast as usual, the mood was also solemn as marchers honored the victims of last week’s mass shooting.
New Orleans’ annual Pride Parade is one of many colorful celebrations of the gay community that take place throughout the country during the month of June. This year’s gathering was dedicated to the memory of those lost during the attack on Orlando’s Pulse nightclub, but it was a celebration of life and love nonetheless.
