The Krewe of Barkus and its many four-legged members, flooded the French Quarter streets on Sunday, January 31, 2016.
“From the Doghouse to the White House,” was theme of this year’s Barkus parade. “Let us affirm that the next head of state might be a that of a Lab, Poodle, Pug or previously homeless rescue…” stated the Krewe captain’s a few days prior to the parade.
The 2016 canine krewe was led by King, Alex Lundeen, His Majesty XXIV.
