The best of the best of New Orleans and Louisiana musicians came out to celebrate the winners of the 2014 Best of the Beat Awards on January 22, 2015, at Generations Hall.
The big winner of the evening was Hurray for the Riff Raff who took home four awards: The Best Country/Folk/Singer-Songwriter band, the Best Country/Folk/Singer-Songwriter album Small Town Heroes, the Song of the Year “The Body Electric” and Video of the Year for “I Know It’s Wrong (But That’s Alright).”
The evening included performances by the New Orleans Suspects, Sweet Crude, Jonathon Boogie Long, BateBunda, the Honey Island Swamp Band and an all-star tribute to Ellis Marsalis.
