A sold-out crowd moved and grooved as legendary George Clinton, at the ripe young age of 72, took his Parliament-Funkadelic band of merry folk to the Tipitina’s stage Saturday night.
The audience, dressed to the nines for this early New Year’s Eve costume ball, sang along during a raucous evening of mind-numbing bass and funk from a bygone era. DJ Soul Sister lent ample support.
Bluntly speaking (we had to), it was a real fonky time, especially when Clinton and co. broke into “Something Stinks And I Want Some,” only to receive said “some” from the crowd.
