If there was ever a perfect time and place to drink something called a Fuzzy Leprechaun, Pat O’Brien’s on St. Patrick’s Day would be it. The French Quarter landmark celebrates the holiday this Saturday and Sunday with drink specials and live music.
Pat O’Brien’s famous Irish pub (at 718 St Peter Street) throws its annual all-day St. Patty’s Day party on Sunday, March 17 this year. Doors open at 10am, and from 11am to 10pm the courtyard will serve up Irish-themed food specials, including a Cajun-ized take on shepherd’s pie. Drink specials at the bar will feature $3 Fuzzy Leprechauns. The piano bar will be open as always, but in addition live entertainment will be provided on the patio from 2pm to 6pm by Groovy 7 and more. And in case you were wondering, the Fuzzy Leprechaun consists of vodka, peach Schnapps, blue Curacao, and orange and pineapple juices. Yum!
It’s going to be a great weekend in the Quarter! Hope to see you down there….
