The popular Wednesday at the Square concert series opened its 2012 season March 14 with the Soulabilly Swamp Boogie Band opening for the Honey Island Swamp Band. The concerts are presented by the Young Leadership Council, who won a Best of the Beat Business Award this year in recognition of their contributions in producing the series.
Highlights from Wednesday’s show included guitarist/singer Ernie Vincent of “Dap Walk” fame sitting in with the Soulabilly Swamp Boogie Band. Next Wednesday’s concert features Bay Area jam band Tea Leaf Green with local guitarist Colin Lake opening. Concerts take place every Wednesday through May on Lafayette Square from 5 to 8 p.m.
