The Ogden Museum of Southern Art has opened submissions for its annual Louisiana Contemporary exhibition, a juried showcase of works by Louisiana artists. Presented by The Helis Foundation, the exhibition highlights the state’s vibrant visual arts community and will run from August 2, 2025, through January 4, 2026.
Artists aged 18 and older who reside in Louisiana are eligible to apply. Submitted works must be original and completed between 2023 and 2025.
In addition to being the presenting sponsor, The Helis Foundation will award the $5,000 Helis Foundation Art Prize to one participating artist, selected by the exhibition’s guest juror. First, second, and third place awards will also be presented.
This year’s guest juror is Daniel S. Palmer, Chief Curator at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Museum of Art, who will select the works to be included in the Ogden Museum exhibition as well as the award recipients.
