The Ogden Museum of Southern Art announced their October 2015 schedule for the Ogden After Hours concert series. This month, the museum will feature acts from regional artists Russell Gulley, King Edward, the Marc Stone Acoustic Band and more.
Muscle Shoals Veteran Russell Gulley will perform on October 1st. King Edward will be bringing his Mississippi blues to Ogden on October 8th. Experienced New Orleans guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Marc Stone will present his Acoustic Band on October 15th.
Folk singer and songwriter Amy Speace, who was brought to light by Judy Collins ten years ago, will be performing on October 22nd. Finally, the New Orleans funk band Los Po-boy-citos will take the stage for Dia de los Muertos on October 29th, with a display of the Ogden’s annual Day of the Dead Altar designed by local artist Cynthia Ramirez.
Ogden After Hours takes place on Thursday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. and features live performances as well as an interview with the artists. In September, the museum welcomed acts from The Breton Sound and Chase Gassaway. This month will close The Cedric Burnside Project on September 17th and Tommy Singleton on the 24th.
General admission costs $12.50. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on the Ogden Museum website.
