Catch the dynamic blues trio of Johnny Sansone, Joe Krown, and John Fohl at Snug Harbor on July 11. Multi-instrumentalist “Jumpin” Johnny Sansone,  New Orleans pianist Joe Krown, and former Dr. John and Cherry Poppin’ Daddies guitarist John Fohl, are powerhouse bandleaders with 20 years of blues collaboration. Their music, rich with Southeast Louisiana flavor, showcases their multi-genre, multi-award-winning talents. Performances are at 7:30 p.m, and 9:30 p.m., tickets are priced at $20, and are available at the Snug Harbor website here.

Tom BaileyMusic legends Thomas Dolby and Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins are set to light up The Fillmore on Thursday, July 11. Thomas Dolby, renowned for his hit “She Blinded Me with Science” and innovative work in electronic music, will be performing alongside Tom Bailey, the lead vocalist and instrumentalist of the Thompson Twins, best known for hits like “Hold Me Now” and “Doctor! Doctor!.” Together they will bring their  synth-pop sounds to the stage for a night filled with iconic 80s hits. Tickets range from $25 to $179 and are available here.

You can continue  your retro revelry with an 80s themed at the installment of Audubon Cool Zoo’s Sip+Dip Series on Friday, July 12. This adult-only event (21+) features live DJs spinning classic 80s hits, retro swimwear and a variety of nostalgic snacks and drinks. The event is part of a summer series with upcoming themed instalments featuring Yacht Rock, R&B and more. Attendees will enjoy exclusive after-hours access to Cool Zoo’s attractions, including the Gator Run lazy river. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with tickets available online here.

The FREE FRIDAYS Concert Series at Tipitina’s continues on July 12 with an evening of high-energy performances by Naughty Professor and Whisper Party! Naughty Professor is known for their innovative blend of jazz, funk and rock as well as their high-energy performances. Doors open at 8 p.m. This free event is open to the public for ages 21 and over on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can learn more about the music series here.

Also on Friday, experience the funky brass sounds of Bonerama with special guest Alex McMurray at Chickie Wah Wah in their only local show this summer. Bonerama is a New Orleans based brass-funk band, known for their unique blend of rock, jazz and funk, driven by a powerful lineup of trombones. Formed in 1998, the band has captivated audiences with their energetic arrangements, often reimagining classic rock songs with a brassy twist. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8:30 p.m.. Advance tickets are $20 and are available here.

Hawaiian based, alternative reggae band Iration brings their smooth, reggae-influenced rock and pop sounds to The Joy Theater on July 16. Since their formation, Iration has released several successful albums and built a dedicated fan base with their feel-good performances. Known for their uplifting and positive messages, Iration continues to tour and produce music that resonates with audiences worldwide, emphasizing themes of love and unity.
