Arcade Fire and AEG have announced that the band will perform at Saenger Theatre on Friday, April 25.
Arcade Fire’s upcoming performance comes with a philanthropic twist. In partnership with the organization PLUS1, the band has pledged to donate $1 from every ticket sold to KANPE, a nonprofit focused on supporting some of the most underserved communities in Haiti.
Though originally formed in Montreal, Arcade Fire has longstanding connections to New Orleans that go beyond occasional tour stops. Frontman Win Butler and his wife, bandmate Régine Chassagne, have both spent significant time in the city. Butler moved to New Orleans in the early 2010s, where he became a visible part of the local music and philanthropic scenes. He even played in a local basketball league and has DJ’d at various events.
The band’s affinity for New Orleans shows up in their music and collaborations. They’ve worked with local brass bands, and their sound has, at times, absorbed the city’s unmistakable rhythms and celebratory energy. During past visits and residencies, members of Arcade Fire have marched in second lines and participated in Mardi Gras events, demonstrating a genuine appreciation for the culture.
Their activism has also touched New Orleans. The band has hosted benefit shows in the city and participated in local relief efforts—especially after disasters like Hurricane Katrina—often focusing on communities that intersect with their broader commitment to social justice and international aid, including their work in Haiti through KANPE.
All attendees, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the venue. Tickets are available here.
For those who have already secured show tickets but still need to purchase parking, assistance is available by calling the event’s Call Center at 888-611-8178.
Organizers acknowledge the extra step may be inconvenient, but encourage fans to reach out directly for support with parking arrangements.
