The Oak Street Po’ Boy Festival returns on Sunday, October 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will feature nearly 60 vendors preparing every imaginable type of po’ boy, from classics like roast beef and shrimp to unique and unusual interpertations. With a competition for “Best Po’ Boy” in several categories, the festival will serve as both a culinary showcase and a celebration of creativity in the kitchen.
Live Music Lineup
This year’s Po’ Boy Festival also features an impressive musical lineup spread across six stages, offering a blend of jazz, blues, funk, rock and more to keep the crowd entertained all day.
Leonidas Street/Positive Vibrations Foundation Stage
- 10:00 a.m. – Sari Jordan: Starting the day with soulful melodies.
- 12:00 p.m. – Shantytown Underground feat. Papa Mali: A dynamic mix of funk and blues.
- 2:00 p.m. – Mia Borders: Known for her electric blues and rock sounds.
- 4:00 p.m. – Kid Chocolate’s Tribute to Trumpet Black: A heartfelt tribute to New Orleans jazz legend, Trumpet Black.
Eagle Street Stage/James Clesi’s Stage
- 10:00 a.m. – Poboy Brass Band: Traditional New Orleans brass to kick off the day.
- 12:00 p.m. – Jason Ricci and the Bad Kind: Rock-infused blues to set the vibe.
- 2:00 p.m. – Eric Johanson: Blues rock with a gritty, soulful edge.
- 4:00 p.m. – Pollo Asado: Latin-infused rhythms and sounds to round out the stage.
Urban South on Dante
- 10:00 a.m. – Beach Angel: Smooth indie rock to ease into the day.
- 12:00 p.m. – Carter Wilkerson Band: A unique fusion of funk and groove.
- 2:00 p.m. – YANO: Upbeat tunes with a hint of folk-rock.

Piano Truck (Presented by Hercules Construction)

- 12:00 p.m. – River Eckert: Piano pieces from this 15 year old Jazz prodigy.
- 2:00 p.m. – Andriu Yanovski: Experimental jazz and soundscapes.
- 4:00 p.m. – Tom Worrell: A blend of jazz and blues to close out the Piano Truck stage.
Front Porch Jams (Brought to you by School of Rock)
- 11:00 a.m. – House Band: Young talents from School of Rock.
- 12:15 p.m. – House Band: Another set by the talented youth ensemble.
- 1:30 p.m. – Derek W. Dooms feat. Members of S.O.R.: A mix of rock and funk.
- 2:15 p.m. – Hell Priests: Hard rock with a bit of edge.
- 3:00 p.m. – Staff Band feat. Members of S.O.R. House Band: Local talent showcasing a blend of rock and soul.
- 3:45 p.m. – S.O.R. Adult Program Band: A finale of rock classics by seasoned musicians.
