Oak Street Po-Boy Festival Announces Food Menu

32 different vendors will offer over 50 different po-boys between them when Oak Street Po-Boy Festival returns to—you guessed it—Oak Street on Sunday, October 22. Festival organizers have unveiled their full food lineup, which you can check out below. Po-boys are certainly the focus of the event, but plenty of other dishes will be available for your eating pleasure.

As previously reported, Oak Street Po-Boy Festival will also feature three stages worth of music to go along with the food. Lost Bayou Ramblers, Khris Royal & Dark Matter and Ambushin’ Bastards, a supergroup featuring Dave Malone, Reggie Scanlan, Jake Eckert, Doug Belote and John “Papa” Gros, are set to headline the festivities.

The three stages will be spread across the neighborhood. The Oak & Eagle Stage will be located at the intersection of Oak and Eagle Streets, while the Pint Alley Stage will go up at Leonidas and Willow Streets. Those looking to escape the outdoors will be able to check out the Joox Stage inside the Maple Leaf (the Saints game will also be shown inside the venue at noon).

As noted in the latest issue of OffBeat, this year will mark the first time that Po-Boy Fest has taken place in October. Past editions of the gathering, which celebrates New Orleans’ most famous indigenous sandwich, had been held in November. It will once again be free and open to the public.
