The New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) is excited to announce the launch of its 2024-25 After School Digital Media Classes, tailored for Louisiana students in grades 8-12. Designed by industry professionals, this innovative program aims to equip students with both soft and software skills through dynamic and relevant coursework.
The curriculum at NOVAC is meticulously crafted to prepare students for the digital media landscape by offering project-based learning experiences. These courses not only enable students to earn a basic statewide credential in Adobe software programs but also foster essential skills such as problem-solving, collaborative working, original thinking, cultural awareness, and project management.
To participate, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Louisiana resident in grades 8-12
- Commit to in-person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-7pm
- Maintain at least 80% attendance
Students who earn an Adobe Credential through this program can receive credit at Delgado Community College.
How to Register
Interested students and parents should:
- Complete the 2024-25 Interest Form.
- Await NOVAC’s verification of eligibility.
- Submit the class registration and enrollment forms received via email.
- Attend the mandatory Family Orientation.
Note: Students unable to commit to 80% attendance will be dropped from the class.

By participating in NOVAC’s After School Digital Media Classes, students will be part of the next generation of storytellers, designers, makers, technologists and artists, poised to make significant contributions to the digital media industry.
