The NORD/NOBA Center for Dance is now accepting online registrations for its June Twilight Dance Program. The program, open to children ages 4-18, will occur from June 5 to June 29 at seven locations throughout Orleans Parish. This tuition-free initiative aims to provide accessible dance education to young individuals without needing auditions or prior dance experience.
The June Twilight Dance Program, an extension of NOBA’s year-round offerings, features evening classes designed for every level of experience in ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop and West African dance. Classes will be conducted in person at seven NORD Rec Centers, including Cut Off, Gernon Brown, Joe W. Brown, Morris F.X. Jeff, Sr., Rosenwald, St. Bernard, and Tremé. Please note that the classes offered may vary by location.
Registration for the program is available on a first-come, first-served basis and will continue until all spaces are filled or until the end of May. Interested individuals are encouraged to register promptly. Each class, which lasts approximately one hour, places students according to age and experience level. To be eligible, children must have reached the minimum age requirement for each class by June 1.
