Norah Jones to Perform in New Orleans

Norah Jones will return to New Orleans on Saturday, March 4 when she headlines a concert at the Saenger Theatre. The singer-songwriter, who is known for her brilliantly-delivered fusion of jazz, folk and pop, will be touring in support of her new album, Day Breaks.

Jones recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where her performance was augmented by New Orleans’ own Tarriona Ball and Anjelika Joseph of Tank and the Bangas. Her connection with the city runs deep and includes multiple appearances at Jazz Fest, as well a 2002 concert at the House of Blues that was filmed for her 2003 concert DVD Live in New Orleans. Louisiana-born drummer Brian Blade, who has worked with Jones since her debut album, also holds down the beat on Day Breaks.

Tickets for Jones’ upcoming show at the Saenger will go on sale this Friday, November 18 at 10am.
