A contingent of New Orleans musicians are making the trek to Jefferson Parish to perform at Family Gras 2015 this weekend.
Led by Chuck Credo IV, the NOLA Supergroup will take the stage in the neutral ground across from Lakeside Mall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6.
John “Papa” Gros, Funky Meters guitar player Brian Stoltz, former Cowboy Mouth bass player Casandra Faulconer, Mark Mullins and Craig Klein from Bonerama, and Chad Gilmore from Marc Broussard’s band will join Credo in the NOLA Supergroup.
But the New Orleans music won’t stop there.
Living legend Allen Toussaint will take the stage at 7 p.m., while Cowboy Mouth, the Creole String Beans, and Amanda Shaw will perform on Saturday and Sunday.
Of course, the non-native Family Gras lineup isn’t too shabby either, with the Beach Boys closing out the show on Saturday and LeAnn Rimes performing Sunday afternoon.
