NOLA Funk Fest Reveal Coming to Tipitina’s

The NOLA Funk Fest Reveal event at Tipitina’s is this Friday, March 14, with a stellar group of musicians performing.

NOLA Funk Fest is the launchpad for the Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience (LMHE.live), a forthcoming museum dedicated to preserving Louisiana’s rich musical history. The festival showcases immersive programming, including special shows and live performances that highlight the state’s musical legacy. With a mission to preserve, honor, educate, and inspire, the festival prioritizes paying local artists above market rates while bringing the vision of a world-class Louisiana music museum to life.

LMHE is currently working with the State of Louisiana to acquire the necessary funding for the project. One of the major asks of LMHE by the State is to bring indication of funding. Of the $165 million project costs, the organization still has $40 million to raise. The goal is to bring $20 million of conditional commitments to show state officials of donor commitments to the funding discussions in April 2025.

Performances for the night of March 14 will feature George Porter, Jr., Ivan Neville, Cyril Neville, Jon Cleary, Robert Mercurio, Tony Hall, Ian Neville, Raymond Weber, Jake Eckert, Erica Falls, Brad Walker, Ashlin Parker, CR Gruver, Aaron Wilkinson, Chris Adkins, Cristian Duque, Eddie Christmas, Omari Neville and Tucker Godbold. Big Chief Juan Pardo’s Tribal Gold will also perform a special set during the event and the night will begin with an opening set by River Eckert and special guest Irma Thomas.

As an added bonus and to celebrate the upcoming Fall festival (October 17-19, 2025; full details available at NOLAFunkFest.com): Buyers of a NOLA Funk Fest 3-Day ticket will receive FREE ADMISSION to the Lineup Reveal Show on Friday, March 14th at Tipitina’s. These tickets are available for a limited time only and may be purchased directly through the NOLA Funk Fest website (NOLAFunkFest.com).

Capital One will sponsor the reveal show on Friday, March 14. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.. Tickets to this event are on sale now at www.Tipitinas.com.
