On June 23 and 24, the 2nd Annual NOLA Caribbean Festival took over Central City BBQ for a vibrant, multicultural two-day event. Despite sweltering temperatures, throngs of native Islanders and fans of Caribbean culture celebrated the art, dance, fashion, food and music of Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, the Virgin Islands and other nations. Naturally, New Orleans’ status as the Caribbean’s northern-most city made it the ideal host for an event of this magnitude.
