The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) proudly announced the third annual NIVA Conference will take place June 2nd to June 5th, 2024, in New Orleans. The NIVA Conference ’24 will cast a spotlight on the legendary stages of New Orleans, showcasing the city’s rich musical heritage. The conference features a dynamic lineup of panels, workshops, and live performances in iconic venues. Last years event drew over 1000 attendees.
NIVA ’24 promises an electrifying celebration of independent live entertainment spaces, the heartbeat of communities nationwide. The three-day conference will feature programming tracks catering to various aspects of the live entertainment ecosystem. From booking and marketing to venue operations and advocacy, NIVA ’24 offers insights, best practices, and innovations for industry professionals. Attendees can anticipate a fireside chat with Marsha Vlasic, Vice Chair of the Music Division at IAG, and much more.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “New Orleans is thrilled to host the 2024 National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) Conference, bringing the nation’s independent performance venues, promoters, and festivals to the birthplace of modern music.”
Stephen Parker, Executive Director of NIVA, echoed the excitement, emphasizing that NIVA ’24 aims to bring together agents, bookers, government leaders, advocates, and venue operators to strengthen the economic and cultural fabric of the industry.
The conference encourages NIVA members and the industry to contribute ideas, panels, and presentations through the submission portal until January 31st. This community-driven approach ensures that NIVA’s conference programming remains of the highest quality.
