Nigel Hall will hold down a residency at the Maple Leaf Bar this month. The Nigel Hall Band will take the stage at the popular Uptown New Orleans venue for the next three Wednesdays–December 9, December 16 and December 23.

Tickets for the shows will be available at the door for $10.

Hall, who moved down to New Orleans in 2013, celebrated the release of his debut album at Tiptina’s this past Wednesday. OffBeat’s Geraldine Wyckoff wrote that the singer and pianist’s new record, Ladies and Gentlemen… Nigel Hall, “vigorously celebrates the close relationship” between soul and funk music. The album also features guest appearances by the likes of Questlove, Ivan Neville, Charlie Hunter, Adam Deitch and many more.
