Katrah-Quey: cruncheez [ep] (Independent)
Fluid lo-fi hip-hop produced on retro equipment creates dynamic snippets demonstrating what Katrah-Quey can do.

RanCoffin: Hiver Cryptoque (Independent)
Raw, fuzzy black metal with a crust punk twist, RanCoffin honor’s their heavy Southern roots with simple blasting d-beats.

Shidded: The Jerk (Independent)
A young emo-punk band that oscillates from silly and snotty to poetic and serious while kicking in the door with fast and catchy melodies.

Shmoo: slow release (Independent)
Shoegazy indie rock made in a 21-year-old’s bedroom, slow release has a charming lo-fi production value reminiscent of Jay Som or Mac DeMarco in its quality.

Jesse Davis: Live at Small’s Jazz Club
An alto-sax virtuoso, Jesse Davis dropped a couple of bebop songs reminiscent of 50’s era jazz with rock-steady rhythms, gratifying solos and tight melodies.

J.Dub’L: The Legend Of SpammKidd
Halley Nevada Borenstein, aka SpammKidd, was a local EDM DJ and New Orleans Center for Creative Arts graduate who helped create a space for NOLA skaters but died young at 29 in 2017. J.Dub’l dropped these tracks to honor the memory of SpammKidd, composing chiptune-infused drum and bass produced entirely on his Nintendo Switch using only KORG Gadget, a music creation software.

Pablo Ono & The Savage Sweethearts: LOVE SCENES
Recorded in Pablo Ono’s bathroom, these singles incorporate strings, keys, airy vocal effects and mechanical drums to create melancholic post-punk.

Secret Bandwagon: Crosseyed
A warm, beautifully-layered track, “Crosseyed” delivers dense acoustic folk music composed of finger-picking guitar and soulful violin. It illustrates the song’s core ballad, a person’s struggle to be present while learning not to care.
